How to Install the Adjustable Joint

 
① Check if the positions of nuts, washers and O-rings are correct. (The normal position is where the washer is pressed against the upper end of the groove in the body.)
 
② Make sure that there is no foreign matter on the threaded part, seat surface of the O-ring port, and O-ring.Apply hydraulic oil or grease to the seat surface and O-ring before installation.
 
③ To install, screw the body in by hand until the washer surface touches lightly, then rotate it to the set position in the loosening direction.At this time, please do not rotate more than 1 rotation. If it is rotated more than 1 turn, the mating port and lock nut threads become shallow and the thread strength decreases.Forcible installation may apply load to the main body and the nut, which may result in deformation.Be sure to follow the installation procedure.
Also, if the washer is inserted too deeply into the mating port, the washer itself will deform and cause oil leakage.
 
④For tightening, after installing the screw on the mating side, hold the body with a wrench or the like so that the setting position does not shift, and tighten the lock nut.
 
 

[Note ]

The greatest advantage of adjustable joints is that they can be freely adjusted in direction without difficulty. Please manage the tightening torque of , and install it by the above method.
